The power of the Algorand smart contracts is again manifested in the split payments process. It allows an account to split payments between two accounts in a given ratio. The accounts can withdraw funds based on their given ratios. On critical condition is meeting the minimum payment amount for the lowest ratio.  

The feature allows a second account to pay the transaction fees for the account making the transaction. For instance, account A is making a payment to account B but cannot pay the fees. Account B can decide to absorb the fees for account A.  

Participating in the algorand protocol will require an account to regularly sign transactions with the Algorand keys. This makes it difficult for keeping account keys cold and it will be difficult rekeying anytime a transaction is signed.
